Akshay Engg. Industries

Akshay Engg. Industries is located at 419-B Kalbadevi Road, right inside Joshi Wadi. If you are familiar with the Kalbadevi area, you know it is one of the most crowded and busy spots you can find in the city. Our workshop is almost always humming with some kind of activity or machine noise. We deal with various engineering parts and small industrial components. There is not a lot of extra space in our shop, so we have to stay very organized just to move around. We have a mix of some older machines and a few newer ones, and they all stay busy throughout the week. The noise from the busy street outside often mixes with the sounds of our own tools. It is a gritty and very real work environment. We do not have a website with flashy photos or a team of sales people wearing suits. It is just us in our work shirts, often with a bit of grease on our hands, making sure the parts are manufactured to the correct specifications. We have stayed here in Joshi Wadi because this is where the heart of the trade is. We know our neighbors and we certainly know our craft. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle with the frequent power cuts or the heavy traffic, but we just keep going. It is a practical business built on hard work and knowing how to fix things. We just make things.
