Akshar Enterprises

We are based in A 102 of the Guru Nanak Apartment building on Shankar Lane. It is right across from the Shankar Temple in Kandivali West, so we hear the temple bells throughout the day. Working out of an apartment means things are a bit different than a storefront. We have converted the main space into an office and storage area for the products we handle. It can get a little crowded when we have a lot of stock, and sometimes the boxes end up in the hallway for a bit. The neighborhood is quite busy, and finding parking on Shankar Lane is always a bit of a nightmare for anyone coming to see us. We usually tell people to just use the landmark of the temple to find the gate. Most of our work involves coordinating deliveries and talking to suppliers on the phone. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for a while. It is a comfortable enough spot, with the window open to catch a breeze, though we get the smell of incense from across the street. We don't go in for fancy decorations or professional branding. It is just an honest small business where we try to stay on top of the orders and keep our neighbors happy by not making too much noise with the crates when they arrive. It’s been this way for a few years now and we just keep at it.
