If you head down to the Wadala Subzi Mandi area, you will find us at number 166. It’s a very busy part of town, especially in the mornings when the market is in full swing. Our engineering works has been here through many changes in the neighborhood. We handle a lot of different metal jobs, mostly repairs and custom bits that people need for their shops or homes. The shop is full of scrap metal, welding gear, and the smell of burnt iron. It isn’t the cleanest place, but that’s because we are always working on something. We don’t have a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever is nearest to the door. We listen to what you need, give you a price, and tell you when it will be ready. It’s straightforward. Some days we have more work than we can handle, and other days we’re just tidying up the tools. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know the quirks of the machines. The noise from the vegetable market outside blends in with our own hammering. It’s just how the day goes at Wadala. We’re just local guys doing what we know how to do best with metal. There is always a lot of shouting and activity outside, but we just focus on the welding and the grinding.
