Ajanta Store

Our store is located at Bandra West 84. If you know Bandra, you know it is a place that never really sleeps. We are right in the thick of it. The store is not very large, but we pack it with what people need. It is a local shop where we know many of our customers by their first names. We have been here for a good while, through all the changes the neighborhood has seen. Some days are incredibly busy, especially on the weekends when everyone is out and about. Other times, it is just a few regulars coming in for their usual items. We don't have a big corporate team running things. It is just us, the staff, making sure the shelves are stocked and the floor is clean. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. The building is older, but it has character and it serves its purpose. We don't use any marketing tricks to get people inside. We just keep the doors open and try to be helpful when someone asks for something. Living and working in Bandra West means you have to be okay with a bit of chaos and a lot of noise. We like the energy of the street. It is a simple life running a store, but it keeps us busy and we feel connected to the people around us. Every morning we open the shutters and see what the day brings. It is just a normal shop in a busy part of Mumbai.
