We are on the ground floor in Andheri West, very close to the ICICI Bank. Being near a bank means there is always a lot of foot traffic outside. We keep our flowers in buckets of water, so the floor is often a little damp. You can smell the roses and lilies as soon as you step inside, which is nice. We spend most of our morning trimming stems and clearing away dead leaves. It’s a lot of manual work that people don't always see. We have a small cold storage area in the back to keep everything fresh. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be organized with our bouquets and loose flowers. We get a lot of people who just pop in quickly while they are on their way to the bank or the station. Our hands usually stay cold and wet throughout the day. We have ribbons and wrapping paper in a messy pile on the counter. There isn't any fancy decor, just the flowers and some basic shelves. Andheri West is always moving fast, and we try to keep up with the orders for weddings or just regular gifts. It’s a simple business, really. We just try to make sure the flowers we have are decent and that we get them ready on time. The humidity from the water can get high, but it keeps the plants happy.
