It’s been a while since we set up our travel office at 10-B on the 9th Main Road in Bhandup West. We are located in the 4th Block, right across from the Abhyudaya Co-operative Bank. It’s a handy spot because people often stop in after they’ve finished their banking. The office is pretty small, just enough room for our desks and a couple of chairs for clients. We have calendars all over the walls to keep track of everyone’s trips and bookings. It’s usually quite a lot of work on the computer, trying to find flights or bus seats that aren't too expensive. We handle a lot of local travel as well as longer trips for families. The fan in the corner hums all day long, and we usually have the door open to catch a bit of a breeze from the street. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet enough to actually sort out the filing cabinet. We’ve been in Bhandup for a while now and know many of the regulars by name. It’s a simple business, really, just making sure people get to where they need to go without too much trouble. We don’t have a big fancy staff, just us here doing the daily work of booking and planning. Our internet goes down every now and then when it rains, so we have to do things the old-fashioned way.
