Air India

Our spot is down in Marthandam, at 7/96B in the Vettumani area. It's a pretty busy part of town. Most people around here are used to the noise of the main road and all the local shops. Working for Air India from this specific location means we deal with a lot of different things every day. It’s not like those big fancy airports you see on TV. We’re tucked away here, just doing our bit. The building is simple and easy to find once you get your bearings near the junction. Some days are slower than others, especially when the weather is incredibly hot and everyone stays inside under the fans. We have a few desks and some chairs, nothing too special or high-end. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the stacks of paperwork. It’s funny because people think of flying as this huge thing, but for us, it’s about the small details right here in this office. We’ve got the local market just a short walk away, so lunch is usually something quick from one of the stalls. The neighbors know us by now. We’ve been at this address for a while, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over time. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out. It’s a very local way of doing things. No big suits, just us in Marthandam trying to keep everything organized.
