This is our small office tucked away in the Mehra Plot area of Chembur. It’s on P.L. Lokhande Marg, in a spot called Anand Lane. It’s definitely not the big headquarters you might see in the pictures. It’s just a small room, number 171/9, where we handle some of the local things. It’s a very busy neighborhood with lots of houses and shops all crowded together. We've been in this lane for a long time. The office is pretty basic, just a couple of chairs and a desk with a computer that sometimes takes a while to start up in the morning. We handle various bits of paperwork and help people who come in with questions about their travel. It’s not a glamorous place. There’s a lot of noise from the street and children playing nearby or people shouting. We just try to keep things moving and help where we can. Most of the people around here know us by now. We don't have a fancy waiting area or any air conditioning. You just come in and talk to whoever is behind the desk. It’s a practical little office for the everyday work that needs to get done. We are just regular people doing our part in this big organization, right here in Chembur. We don't have any big speeches. We just open the door and do our best to get the forms filled out. It’s a living and it keeps us right in the heart of the community.
