Our shop is at number 10 in the Deepak Building, right there in Bandra. It’s a busy area, but our building is tucked into number 38. If you know Bandra, you know it never really sleeps. We spend most of our mornings opening up and dusting the shelves. Adithya Enterprise is a small place, and it gets cramped when we have a lot of stock coming in. We handle a bit of everything, mostly supplies that other local businesses need. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. Usually, the phone starts ringing around eleven and doesn't stop until we close. It’s just two or three of us here most days. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the basic one over the door. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat or ask for change. We know most of the people on this block by name. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes and checking the inventory lists against what we actually have on the floor. Bandra traffic is always a headache when we are waiting for a delivery van to arrive. We just sit on the stools behind the counter and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s a simple business, nothing too complicated. We just try to keep the shop running and help out whoever stops by the Deepak Building. We keep a small radio playing in the background just to keep us company.
