We've been at 202/203 Bazar for quite a while now. My name is Abdul Kader and this is our spot right in the middle of the market. It gets pretty loud and busy around here most days but that's just how the bazar life is. People come in looking for specific things and we try to help them out as best as we can. It’s not a big fancy place by any means, just a regular shop with stuff piled up on old shelves. Sometimes the aisles are a bit narrow and messy but we know where every single item is hidden. We open early in the morning when the first delivery trucks come through and stay until things quiet down late at night. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so we're all like one big family. We see the same faces every week and know most people by their first names. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the inventory and making sure everything is priced right for the locals. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, especially when it rains and the bazar floor gets all muddy and slippery, but we still open up. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. People just know where we are because we've always been here. If you walk down the main lane long enough, you'll see us eventually. It’s a family thing, really. My brothers help out and sometimes the kids are around too after they finish school. We just keep going day by day, trying to make an honest living and keeping the shop running for the next generation. There’s always something to fix, a lightbulb to change, or a box to move around. It's just a normal, simple life here at the bazar.
