Our shop, Abbasbhai Kamruddin Sons, is tucked away in Nagpada at 7 250. This area has a lot of history and we’ve been part of it for a long time. It’s not a big fancy showroom. It’s more of a traditional place where we keep things organized in our own way. The streets around here are always narrow and full of life. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood all day long. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team. We just have our name and this address. Most of the people who come by have known us for years. We do things the old-fashioned way. You come in, we talk, and we get you what you need. It’s simple. The building has been there forever, it feels like. We keep the place clean but it’s definitely a working space, not a lounge. There are piles of stock and old ledgers around. That’s just how we operate. We don’t see a reason to change much if it isn't broken. Every morning we open the doors and see what the day brings. It’s a busy life in Nagpada, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s home for the business and for us too. We don't use any fancy talk. We just focus on the people who walk through the door. It has been that way for a long time and we like the consistency of it.
