You can find us in Andheri West, tucked away in Jijabai R. Kadam Chawl. It’s not the kind of place you’d find if you weren't looking for it specifically. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a while now. It’s an engineering workshop, so there are tools and machine parts scattered everywhere. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a big project going on. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. The neighbors are mostly families and other small shops, so we try not to make too much noise too early in the morning, but work is work. Being in a chawl means everyone knows everyone else. We often have people sticking their heads in just to say hello or ask for a quick fix on something they broke at home. It’s a humble setup, really. We use some older machines that still run fine if you know how to handle them. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that struggle when it gets really humid in June. We don’t have a website or fancy brochures to show people. Usually, someone just tells a friend about us, and that’s how we get most of our work. It’s steady, and it keeps us busy enough to not worry too much about the rest. Just honest labor in a corner of Andheri.
