A K Engineering Works

We work out of A K Engineering Works on Gaodevi Road, Old Padra Road 3. It’s a loud place, to be honest. There is always the sound of metal being cut or someone using a drill. We’ve got all the heavy machinery lined up on the floor, and it’s always a bit oily underfoot, so you have to be careful where you step. We do engineering jobs, mostly small stuff for people who need parts made or fixed. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a nice shirt. We are usually covered in grease by ten in the morning. The building itself is older, and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We don't have an office staff; if you come by, you’ll just find us in the back working on something. We started this because we like working with our hands and seeing how things are put together. It’s hard work and the days are long, but it’s what we do. We don't have a glossy brochure or anything like that. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about us from someone else on Gaodevi Road. We just keep the machines running and try to get the orders finished on time so we can go home and rest. It’s a simple shop, but it has everything we need to get the job done right every day.
