Our company, A C D Machine Control, is based in Andheri East. We are located at E-6, Udyog Sadan No. 2, right in the heart of the MIDC area. This is a very industrial part of Mumbai, so there are factories and offices everywhere you look. We specialize in machine controls, which means we spend a lot of time looking at circuits and control panels. The office is more like a workshop really. We have workbenches scattered around and tools everywhere. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us are in work clothes because things can get a bit messy when you’re dealing with old machinery. We’ve been in this building for quite a long time. The elevators are a bit slow and the hallways are narrow, but it has a lot of character. We get a lot of walk-in inquiries from other businesses in MIDC who are having trouble with their equipment. We don’t spend money on big ads or marketing people. We just rely on the fact that we’ve been here for years and people know we can fix things. Sometimes it’s a struggle to find a specific part for an older machine, but we usually manage to track it down eventually. It’s a steady job and we like the community of workers here in Andheri. We just take it one day at a time.
