Our little office is in Room No 3 of Chawl 99. It’s right there on the 12th Cross in Jogeshwari West. If you’re looking for us, we are just opposite the Deewan Centre, which is a big landmark around here. It’s a small space, just enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for people to sit while we look up travel options. Jogeshwari is always moving, and Yasin Ima is no exception. We spend our days checking schedules and trying to find the best routes for people who want to go home or go on a holiday. It’s a lot of phone calls and staring at booking screens. We get all kinds of people coming in, some who know exactly where they want to go and others who need a bit of help figuring out the trains or buses. We try to keep things simple and honest. The room gets a bit crowded when more than two people come in at once, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been in this chawl for a while and everyone knows us. It’s a practical business, nothing flashy about it. We just want to make sure people get their tickets and get where they need to go. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we have to apologize to the customers waiting, but we get it done eventually.
