I. K. Handicrafts

We are located over at Maqbar, right in the 1st Andruni Pathak. If you know the area, it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. The lanes are narrow around here. Our space is pretty packed with materials and half-finished pieces. Most of the time, the floor is covered in shavings or bits of thread, depending on what project we are on that week. It’s just how it goes when you’re actually making things by hand. I. K. Handicrafts isn't some big factory. It’s just us working through the pile of orders we have. Some days are slower than others, but we usually have something to keep us busy. The neighbors know us well because of the noise we make during the day. We try to be quiet in the mornings at least. We’ve been at this address for a good while now and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint. But we spend more time on the work than on fixing up the shop. We buy our supplies locally when we can. It’s easier that way. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to sit and wait or use hand tools until it comes back on. It is a bit of a struggle sometimes, but we manage. You get used to the rhythm of the neighborhood and the way things move here in the Pathak.
