Aysha Horn Handicraft

We are based over in Mohalla-Barkheriyan in Sarai Tareen. Aysha Horn Handicraft is just the name on the door, but to us, it’s just the place we go every morning. Sarai Tareen is a place where a lot of people are doing this kind of work. You can hear it all around the neighborhood. Our workshop in Mohalla-Barkheriyan isn’t very big. It’s actually quite cramped when we have a lot of material delivered. We spend hours sitting there, working on individual pieces. It’s dusty work, and your clothes usually end up looking pretty rough by the end of the shift. We don't have any fancy cooling systems, just a couple of windows that we keep open to get a bit of a breeze. It’s a local operation, and we know most of the people on the street. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit to get some air and watch the world go by. There’s always someone moving something on a cart or a motorbike. We don’t really do much in the way of talking about ourselves. We just show up in Mohalla-Barkheriyan and get through the day’s tasks. It’s been this way for a long time. Sarai Tareen has a lot of history with this kind of work, and we’re just another part of that. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a simple shop in a busy mohalla, doing what we can.
