Creative Brass Handicrafts

Creative Brass Handicrafts is over at B-575 in Lajpat Nagar. We are really close to the police chowki, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find the place for the first time. Being in this part of the city means it is always a bit noisy and there is a lot of movement on the streets outside. We work with brass here, so the workshop usually has that metallic smell and you can hear the sounds of tools hitting the metal all day. It’s not a quiet job at all. We spend most of our time getting orders ready and checking the pieces. The workshop is a bit cluttered because we have so many different items and tools lying around, but we know where everything is. The police chowki nearby helps people find us because otherwise, all these blocks in Lajpat Nagar look kind of the same. We have been in this spot for some years and the neighbors are used to the noise. Our staff is mostly people from nearby who have been doing this kind of work for a long time. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is humid, but we just keep at it. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people find us by walking past or hearing about us from someone else. We just focus on making the items and getting them sent out to whoever needs them. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living.
