Waseem Hair Saloon

Waseem Hair Saloon is located right at Kanchka Pul in Meerut. This part of the 250001 area is always moving and there is a lot of energy near the bridge. The shop itself is simple and honest. I’ve got my mirrors lined up along the wall and the chairs are the old-fashioned kind that are actually quite comfortable. I don’t have a lot of space, so everything has its place on the small wooden shelves. Usually, I have a helper who helps with the cleaning and getting the water ready for the shaves. We see a lot of local guys from the Kanchka Pul neighborhood. Some of them have been coming since they were kids. I use a lot of talcum powder and basic aftershave, so the shop always has that specific smell that everyone recognizes. It’s a bit of a social spot too, where people talk about what’s going on in Meerut or the latest cricket scores. The door stays open to let some air in, which means a bit of dust comes in too, but that’s just life near the road. I don’t believe in having a fancy menu of services. You come in, you tell me what you want, and I do it. Sometimes we have to share the newspapers between three or four people who are waiting. It’s a small business and we just take things one day at a time. I have been cutting hair for a long time.
