Ajay Hair Saloon

Ajay Hair Saloon is over on Kila Rd in Meerut City, right near the Khajuri Bus Stand. Because we are so close to the bus stand, we get a lot of people who are just passing through town or waiting for their ride. It makes the shop a bit more interesting than some others because you never know who might walk in. We have been here for a good while, and the locals around Kila Road know us well. The shop itself is just a regular room with some mirrors and chairs. It isn't very big, so things can get a bit cramped when it’s raining and everyone wants to stay dry inside. We have our scissors, clippers, and combs all lined up on the shelf. The floor is tiled, which makes it easier to sweep up all the hair at the end of the shift. We start early and stay late most days. The sound of the buses and the horns from Kila Road is something we are used to now. It’s a noisy part of Meerut, but it keeps us busy. We don’t do any of those modern fancy treatments, just basic haircuts and shaves. Most people just want to look decent and get on with their travel. We try to work fast but carefully so nobody misses their bus at Khajuri. It is a humble spot but it gets the job done for the travelers and the locals.
