Skin & Shine Beauty Parlor

Our place, Skin & Shine Beauty Parlor, is located at Shop No 200 on the Main Road in Old Mohanpuri. We are quite close to Kaushik Medical Store, which makes it easy for people to find us in Meerut. The shop isn't very big, but we have managed to fit everything we need inside. The main road is always busy with cars and rickshaws, so the front window gets a bit of dust on it every day. I usually spend the first twenty minutes in the morning just wiping things down. We have two main chairs and a small bench for people to sit and wait. The walls are painted a light color to make it feel a bit bigger than it actually is. Sometimes when the medical store next door is crowded, people wander over here just to see what we do. We get a lot of college students and working women who live in the Old Mohanpuri area. It’s a neighborhood where everyone seems to be in a hurry, so we try to work efficiently. The sink in the back sometimes leaks a little if we aren't careful, but we’ve learned how to handle it. It’s a simple setup where we focus on the work at hand. No one expects anything too grand here, just a decent place to sit for a while and get things sorted. We keep the door open mostly for the breeze because the afternoons can get very humid.
