Sharookh Hair Saloon

Sharookh Hair Saloon is based in Zakir Colony on Hapur Road in Meerut. It’s been here in the 250001 zip code area for quite a bit. It’s a typical local barber shop. We have the old-style chairs and plenty of mirrors. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it works for now. We mostly do men’s haircuts and shaves. A lot of guys from the colony come in every couple of weeks. It’s a place where people catch up on the local news. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy booking system. You just walk in, see who’s ahead of you, and wait your turn on the bench. Sometimes we have the radio playing in the background, mostly old songs or the news. The street outside is always noisy with motorcycles and vendors, so it’s never really quiet here. We’ve got a drawer full of combs and different blades for the razors. We make sure to keep things as clean as possible, even though the floor gets covered in hair pretty fast. My cousin helps me out when he's not busy with his other work. It's a simple life, cutting hair and chatting with the neighbors. We don't try to be anything we're not. It’s just an honest day's work for us here in Meerut. If you're passing by Hapur Road, you'll see our sign hanging out front. We’ve been here for years and we don’t plan on going anywhere else anytime soon.
