Sahil Saloon

Sahil Saloon is located at number 3 on Garam Pani Road. We are tucked away specifically in the Bel Patthar Wali Gali in the Ganga Nagar area. Meerut is the place where I have always lived and worked. The shop is hidden a bit in this narrow lane. It is a small saloon meant for men. We have the usual setup you would expect, with the big mirrors and the old revolving chairs. The lane outside is quite narrow, so it is mostly the local residents who come here for their hair. We have been in this spot for a while. I spend most of my day with a pair of scissors or a razor in my hand. The walls have a few old posters showing different hair styles, even though most of the men just ask for the same simple cut every time. It is a quiet life for the most part. Garam Pani Road can get quite busy with traffic, but our little alley is usually a bit more relaxed and quiet. I keep the floor swept up and the towels are usually drying on the line just outside the door. We do not use any fancy apps or computers for our business here. You just come in, say hello to everyone, and wait for your turn in the chair. It is very much a community thing for us. I know almost all of the guys who live in this Gali. We talk a lot.
