Ruma Beauty Parlour

You will find Ruma Beauty Parlour on the first floor of the Aggarwal Complex on Sharda Road. It’s a busy part of Meerut, and being on the main road means there’s never a quiet moment. Having the shop on the first floor is a bit of a trek up the stairs, but it gives a nice view of the traffic below while I'm working. The complex itself is always full of people going to the different offices and shops. Inside, the space is divided up for different things like waxing or hair washing. I’ve tried to make it feel welcoming with some simple curtains and a few posters on the walls. The floor is tiled and easy to sweep, which is lucky because we get a lot of foot traffic. Customers usually call ahead, but some just walk in after finishing their work at the Aggarwal Complex nearby. We do a lot of basic beauty work, nothing too over the top. The water pressure can be a bit moody sometimes, so we keep a few buckets filled just in case. It’s a practical setup. In the evenings, the streetlights come on and the whole of Sharda Road feels different. I usually stay until late if there are people waiting. It’s just me and the assistant most days, keeping things moving and making sure the mirrors are clean for the next person who comes in.
