Pinku Hair Salon

Pinku Hair Salon is right on Garh Road in Meerut. It is quite close to Saraswati Inter College, so we see a lot of students walking by every day. The shop is in Jai Bhim Nagar, which is a busy area. I have been cutting hair here for a while now. The chairs are a bit old but they are comfortable for the customers. We have the usual mirrors and the sound of clippers going all day. Garh Road is always full of traffic, so there is a lot of noise from horns and trucks passing by. I usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. Most of the men who come here live in the nearby streets. They come for a quick haircut or a shave on their way home. We don't have any air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that stay on all day. It gets pretty warm in the summer months. I keep a stack of old newspapers for people to read while they wait their turn. Sometimes my friends from the college area stop by just to chat for a bit. It is a basic setup, just a local barber shop where everyone knows each other. I like the routine of it, starting the day with a cup of tea and then getting to work on the first customer. It is a long day but the work is steady.
