New Style Parlour

New Style Parlour is situated in Ganga Nagar, Meerut. This part of the city has grown a lot lately, and we are right in the middle of it. The shop is a basic rectangular room with a few stations set up for hair and face work. We don't have any big neon signs, just the name on the door and a few posters of different hairstyles on the wall. The street outside is mostly residential, so we know most of the people who walk past every day. It’s a bit quieter than the main city roads, which is nice. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids play right outside the entrance. I usually sit on a stool near the door when there are no customers, just watching the scooters go by. We have a small water cooler in the corner because it gets quite stuffy inside during the afternoons. The floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance but we don't mind much. It’s a place where local folks feel comfortable coming in without having to dress up. We use standard products that we buy from the local wholesaler. The routine is the same every day—opening the shutters, dusting the shelves, and waiting for the first person to walk in. It’s a steady life here in Ganga Nagar. We don't try to be anything we aren't, just a local spot for a haircut or a shave where the conversation is usually about the weather or the local news.
