Naushaad Hair Salon

Our place is on Begum Pul Road, right next to the Green Hotel in Meerut. Being so close to the bridge means there is always a lot of movement. People staying at the hotel sometimes wander in for a quick shave, but most of our customers are locals who work in the surrounding shops. The salon is a bit of an old-school spot. We have those classic scissors and combs that have been through a lot of work. The chairs are covered in a dark material that's a bit worn out at the edges, but they're still solid. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some calendars and maybe a small mirror that's a bit cracked in the corner. It’s a practical space. We spend our time sweeping up hair and talking to whoever happens to be sitting in the chair. Sometimes we talk about the traffic on the bridge or how the weather is changing. The shop gets a lot of natural light in the morning, which is nice. We don't use any fancy machines, just our hands and the basic tools of the trade. It’s been this way for years, and we don’t see much reason to change it. We provide a basic service to the people of Meerut, and as long as the scissors stay sharp, we’re happy to keep going.
