Naceer Hair Saloon

Naceer Hair Saloon is over in Ahmad Nagar on Ahmed Road. If you know Meerut, you know this part of town stays active. The shop is a small space with the basic essentials. We’ve got a couple of chairs that have been there for years and a shelf with different sprays and creams. The 250002 zip code is where we’ve spent most of our time. Every morning starts with unlocking the front gate and setting things out. It’s mostly regular customers who come by, guys who have been getting their hair done here since they were kids. We talk about whatever is happening on the street or maybe the latest cricket match. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’ve got character. We use a lot of white towels, and there is always a batch being washed or dried somewhere. The water pressure can be a bit moody sometimes, but we make it work. It’s a noisy street with bikes and horns, but once you’re inside, it’s just the sound of the clippers. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. It’s an honest day’s work and we like seeing the same faces week after week. Nothing fancy, just a local saloon doing its thing on Ahmed Road.
