Located over on Kila Rd in Meerut City, our shop Mohd Ali Hair Salon has been part of the Mubarikpur area for a bit. It’s a lively neighborhood with people always walking around. Our shop is simple. We don't have fancy decorations or big signs inside. It’s just the walls, the mirrors, and the tools we use for cutting. We spend most of our day standing on our feet, moving around the chairs. Some guys come in for a shave because they don't want to do it at home. We use the straight razors and the cream just like always. The street outside, Kila Rd, is often dusty and loud, but inside we just focus on the person sitting in front of us. We try to keep the place tidy, but when it’s busy, the hair piles up on the floor pretty quick. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle the shears. People in Meerut appreciate a place that stays the same. We don’t change things around much because our regulars like it the way it is.
