Merry Beauty Parlour

Merry Beauty Parlour is located in Shradhapuri Phase-1, right in the Meerut Cantt area. It’s a quiet residential neighborhood compared to the city center. We started this in part of the house at 1/33. It feels more like a home than a big commercial salon. Most of our customers are women who live on this street or the next one over. They come in for their regular threading or maybe to get their hair dyed when the grey starts showing. I run the place with a little help. It’s small, so if three people come at once, it feels very full. We have some old chairs and a shelf where we keep the shampoos and creams. There’s no big sign outside, just a small one so people know where to turn. It’s nice because we know everyone’s name and their kids' names too. We talk about the weather or what’s happening in the colony while I work. It isn't a place for fancy transformations, just regular maintenance for the local ladies. The lights flicker sometimes when the power goes, but we have a backup for that. It’s a simple life running a shop in the Cantt. We keep things relaxed and don’t rush people out the door. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if a neighbor has an emergency before a party. It’s just how it works when you live where you work.
