Mayur Salon

Our shop, Mayur Salon, is right on the Main Road in Bada Bazaar, over in the Lalkurti area of Meerut. Being near Arvind Traders makes it easy for people to find us. This part of Meerut is always crowded with shoppers and rickshaws, so there is never a quiet moment. The salon is a small space with two chairs for haircuts. We have a big window in the front that looks out onto the street, so you can watch the world go by while you are getting a trim. It gets very busy on Sundays because everyone wants to look sharp for the start of the week. We have some old posters on the wall showing different hair styles, even if nobody ever asks for them. The floor is a bit uneven, and the ceiling fan rattles when it is on high speed. It is a very basic place, just the way we like it. We know the other shop owners nearby, and we often share a cup of tea in the mornings when things are slow. There is a lot of dust from the main road, so we are always wiping down the counters and the mirrors. We have been here for a long time, and the building itself is quite old. You won't find anything modern or high-tech here. It is just a regular barbershop for the local men who want a simple cut without paying too much money.
