Chahat Hair Saloon

Chahat Hair Saloon is over in Ahmad Nagar, which is a part of Meerut with the pin code 250001. It is a very straightforward kind of place where we do haircuts and simple shaves for the local men. We do not have any big signs or bright lights to get people's attention from the road. Most of the people who come here live just around the corner or work on the same street as us. It is a small room with a couple of chairs that have seen better days but are still comfortable enough for a twenty-minute sit. We keep the razors sharp and the towels as clean as we can manage. The walls are a plain color and we have a few old posters of different hair styles, though most people just ask for the same short cut they always get. Meerut can get quite noisy in this area, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood right through the walls of the shop. We start early in the morning and usually stay until the last person leaves at night. It is not a corporate business with rules and manuals. It is just a local spot. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we have to use the natural light from the open doorway to finish a cut. That is just how things go. We are just a practical place for regular people.
