Babloo Salon

Babloo Salon is located in the Mukandi Devi Dharamshala Market along Ghanta Ghar Road. This is a very old part of Meerut, and you can feel the history of the area just walking down the street. Our shop isn't very big, tucked into the market rows among many other small businesses. We have been operating here for years, and the walls show a bit of that age. There is a specific smell of talcum powder and shaving cream that hits you when you walk in. We have four chairs, though usually only two or three of us are working at the same time. The mirrors are large but have some spots where the silver is fading. It doesn’t matter much to our customers, who are mostly local shopkeepers and residents from the nearby lanes. We do a lot of traditional shaves with straight razors, taking our time to get it right. On festival days, the market gets incredibly crowded, and our little salon becomes a place for people to take a break from the noise. We have a small water cooler in the corner that we refill every morning. The floor is old stone and stays cool even when it’s boiling outside. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and come in when they need to look a bit sharper. It’s a steady, simple business for us, and we like the routine of the market.
