Avon Hair Beauty Salon

This salon is located at 912/2 in Shastri Nagar, which is a fairly quiet part of Meerut compared to the main city markets. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a while now. It’s not a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle hair and basic beauty stuff. The shop has a large glass window in front, but we usually keep a curtain up for privacy because people are always walking by. Inside, we have some old styling chairs and a sink that sometimes makes a gurgling noise when the water drains out. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most people just see the board when they are walking their dogs or driving to the grocery store. It’s a neighborhood spot. Women come in with their kids, and sometimes the kids run around or play with the combs while the mothers get their hair done. We don't mind. It’s just how things are here. The floor is a bit uneven in one corner, so you have to watch your step. We do a lot of simple haircuts and coloring. Nothing like what you see in the fashion magazines, just practical styles for everyday life. In the winter, it gets quite cold inside, so we wrap ourselves in thick shawls between customers. We like being in Shastri Nagar because the people are friendly and they’ve known us since we first opened our doors.
