People around Meerut Cantt know where to find us. We're right here in Top Khana Bzr. It's usually busy with folks coming in for a quick trim or a shave after work. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for the ten minutes you're sitting there. My father started this place years back, and not much has changed since then. We keep the floor swept, though hair gets everywhere by noon. It gets hot in the summer, but we have a fan that works okay. Most of the regulars don't even have to say what they want anymore. We just get to work while talking about the weather or whatever is happening in the market. It's a simple setup. We use basic tools, nothing fancy or electric that breaks every two weeks. You might have to wait on the wooden bench if it's a Sunday morning because that's when everyone shows up at once. The light isn't the brightest, but we see well enough to get the sideburns even. We stay open until the market starts closing up. It’s just how things go here in Meerut. No one is in a rush unless they have a bus to catch. We keep the towels clean, or as clean as they get with so many people coming through. Just a regular spot for a haircut where you can sit and relax for a bit before going home to your family. It's nothing special but it works for us.
