It’s more like a place where we gather to talk about the farm and get our work sorted. This part of Midnapore is where we all grew up, so we know the community pretty well. Farming is what we know most about. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just trying to grow good crops and make sure the farmers in our group get a fair shake. The work is dirty and tiring, and we spend a lot of time worrying about the weather. When the sun is hot, we’re out there anyway. We don't use any slick language to talk about our business because we don't need to. Our work speaks for itself in the fields. We’re just a group of local people who decided to team up. Sometimes we disagree on how to do things, but we always figure it out. It’s a very down-to-earth operation. We just want to keep our farms going and provide for our families without too much outside interference. It’s a simple goal, but it takes all our energy to make it happen every day.
