Navami Motor Driving School

We are located on Car Street in Mangalore, right near Bem High School. Most mornings start early for us because that is when the roads are quietest for new drivers. You’ll see our cars pulling out of the narrow streets as the sun comes up. The office is a small space in Basaveshwara Nilaya where we keep the schedules and the learner forms. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in getting a license, so we spend a fair bit of time at the desk. We’ve taught all sorts of people, from young students to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. Some people are really nervous when they first sit behind the wheel, so we just take it slow and stay in the lanes we know well. Our instructors have seen it all, from stalled engines in the middle of traffic to perfect reverse parks on the first try. The interior of the cars might smell a bit like upholstery cleaner, and the seats are adjusted a hundred times a day. We keep the vehicles running well, even with the constant gear shifting and braking that happens with beginners. It is a steady job, watching people gain confidence as they navigate the streets of Mangalore. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out, helping one person at a time get their license without making a big deal about it.
