Janatha Motor Driving School

We spend a lot of time here at the Golden Arcade Building on M G Road. If you know Mangalore, you know how busy this stretch can get, especially with all the students from SDM Law College walking around. Janatha Motor Driving School has been sitting in this spot in Kodialbail for a while now. Most days, it’s just us and the sounds of the traffic outside. People come in looking to get their license, usually a bit nervous about stalling the car in the middle of a hill. We try to keep things quiet and straightforward. There isn’t much to the office—just some desks, a few chairs, and the paperwork we have to keep track of. Mangalore weather is either very rainy or very hot, so we’re always dealing with that when we go out for lessons. Sometimes the cars need a lot of work because the roads aren't always great, but that’s just how it is. We aren't a big corporation or anything fancy. It’s just a local spot where people from around here come when they’re ready to learn. We see the same faces passing by every day. It feels like a normal part of the neighborhood. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. Mostly, we are just focused on the clutch, the gears, and making sure nobody hits the curb. It is a simple life running a driving school here on MG Road, but it keeps us busy enough.
