Janatha Driving School

Janatha Driving School is based in the Golden Arcade Building, which is right on Mahatma Gandhi Road here in Mangalore. Most folks just call it M G Road. The pincode is 575003. It’s a central spot, so it’s easy for people to get to us from different parts of the city. The building is one of those busy ones with lots of offices, and we’ve been here for a good amount of time. I spend a lot of my day in the office at Golden Arcade, sorting through learner permits and talking to folks who want to start their lessons. The view of M G Road is always interesting, though the traffic can be a headache sometimes. We use the local roads for training, which gives everyone a good sense of how to drive in Mangalore. I keep the office pretty plain; there’s no need for anything fancy when you’re just teaching people how to drive a car. I like the routine of it all—opening up, checking the cars, and meeting the new students. Mangalore is a nice place, and being on M G Road means we are right in the thick of things. It’s a bit rainy at times, which changes how we do the lessons, but we make it work. Just a local school doing its job every day without any big bells or whistles.
