Ambivalent Motor Driving School

People often ask about the name when they walk into our office at Shalimar Complex. We are right on the ground floor, which makes it easy for folks coming from the Kankanady Bus Stand to find us. It gets pretty loud out there with all the buses honking, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this place because we saw a lot of people in Mangalore struggling with the hills and the narrow lanes. Teaching someone to drive isn't just about the steering wheel; it’s about patience. Usually, someone is sitting at the front desk handling the paperwork while the rest of us are out on the roads. The office isn't anything fancy, just some chairs and a desk where we keep the logs. Sometimes the humidity here makes the paperwork stick together, but we manage. We spend most of our days watching people stall the engine or try to figure out the clutch. It is a job like any other, but you see a lot of different faces and stories. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the small one at the complex. If you are looking for us, just walk past the main entrance of the bus stand and you'll see the complex right there. Most of our students live around here or take the bus in from nearby towns. It's a busy spot, and there is always something happening right outside the door.
