Jo Jo Caterers

We started Jo Jo Caterers right here in Mangalore. If you look for 575 001 on a map, that is exactly where you will find us. We have been cooking for a long time now, and it is a lot of work every single day. Most of our time is spent in the kitchen with big pots and heavy pans. We don’t have a big dining room for people to sit in because we mostly pack things up and take them to wherever the event is happening. Sometimes it’s a small lunch at someone's house, and other times it’s a much bigger gathering. We use the ingredients we get from the local markets around here. The fish is usually fresh since we are so close to the coast. We don’t really have a glossy menu with professional pictures. We just tell people what we can make that day based on what is available. It’s messy work sometimes, especially when we have three different orders all at once. My hands are usually smelling like onions or strong spices by the end of the shift. The kitchen gets really hot in the afternoons, but that is just part of the job we do. We don’t use any of those fancy machines. It’s mostly just us cutting vegetables by hand and stirring the stove. We’ve been at this address for years, and most of the locals know where to find us if they need a good meal for a party. It’s just honest cooking for people in the city.
