Aroma Caterers

You can find us over in Bendoorwell, right in the middle of the Kankanady area. It is a very busy part of the city and there is always something happening outside our door. Our place is called Aroma Caterers because that is exactly what happens when you are cooking food all day long. The smell of the spices tends to hang around the street and the neighbors usually know what we are making. We handle a lot of different orders, from small house parties to the bigger gatherings on the weekends. We do not use any fancy modern machines; it is mostly just us doing the work by hand like it has always been done. We have a small team and most of us have worked together for ages. It gets pretty frantic on Saturdays when everyone seems to have an event at the same time. We try to keep our process simple. If someone wants a specific local dish, we see if we can make it happen with whatever is fresh at the market that morning. Kankanady is a central spot so it is easy for us to get the food out to different parts of town. We are not interested in being a huge corporate kitchen. We like being a local business where we know the people we are feeding. Sometimes we run out of things and have to run to the shop. It is just the way it goes here.
