Trade Wing

Our place is in Apprepad House, which is located out in Vittal. It’s quite a bit of a drive from the main city, but we like being here in Bantwala. Trade Wing is what we call the business, and we handle a lot of the back-and-forth trading stuff that happens around this part of Mangalore. The building is a bit old, but it stays cool enough in the heat with the big trees nearby. We don’t have a flashy sign or anything like that out front. Usually, there is a truck or two parked outside on the dirt lot loading things up for delivery. Inside, there are just some old wooden desks and a whole lot of paperwork piled up. We’ve been in this spot for years, so most of the people in the village know where to find us if they need to settle an account or check on an order. It gets pretty dusty in the summer months with the road right there, but we just keep the ceiling fans going. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, we just do our daily work and go home to our families. Sometimes the phone lines don't work great because of our location, but we manage to get things sorted eventually. It’s a very straightforward business, really. We move goods, we talk to our suppliers, and we try to stay on top of the orders coming in. It is just a regular workday.
