Goldfinch Hotel (Mangaloe)

You can find the Goldfinch Hotel over at No 337 Kamaraja Road in Bangalore. It’s a very busy stretch of road, and there is always something happening right outside our front doors. We’ve been here for a while, and the staff has become like a small family over the years. We spend most of our shifts making sure the rooms are ready and the restaurant is prepped for the lunch crowd. It’s a lot of physical work, walking up and down the halls and carrying bags for people who are tired from their travels. We aren't a corporate chain with a handbook for every single word we say to people. We just talk to our guests like normal humans. If someone needs an extra towel or a late-night snack, we just go get it for them without a fuss. The building itself has been around for a bit, so we’re always fixing a leak here or updating a light fixture there when they break. Kamaraja Road is noisy, but we’ve put in good windows to keep the sound out so our guests can actually get some sleep at night. We see people from all walks of life coming through—business folks, families on holiday, and people just passing through the city. We don't have a grand mission statement; we just want to make sure the beds are comfortable and the food tastes good for everyone.
