Pizza Hut

We are over here at Chunkath House on Taachirra Road in Chittur, running this Pizza Hut branch. It’s a quiet enough part of Palakkad but we stay busy enough most days. Most people around here know the spot. We spend a lot of time just getting things ready for the lunch rush and then again in the evening when the sun starts to go down. The kitchen gets pretty warm, especially during the summer months in Kerala, but that is just how it goes when you are making food all day. We have a few delivery bikes parked outside and the riders are always coming and going. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and everything slows down a bit, but mostly it is just a steady pace of people coming in for a meal. The staff here mostly lives nearby so we all know each other well. We don’t have any fancy speeches about what we do. We just open the doors, turn on the ovens, and start working. There is a lot of cleaning to do usually, and the phone rings quite a bit with people asking for directions even though we have been here a while. It’s a decent place to work and the neighbors are friendly enough to us. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the floor is swept. That is pretty much our whole day from start to finish. It’s not a complicated life but it keeps us on our toes.
