We are located out in the Ranganpalke area, right near the Keremelmane post office. It’s a quiet part of Karkala, quite far from the busy and crowded parts of Udupi. The restaurant is just a simple, local place where we cook the food we grew up with. We’ve been here for a good while now, serving the people who live nearby or the travelers who happen to be passing through the taluk. It’s not a fancy place with air conditioning or long, complicated menus. We just have a few sturdy tables and chairs and a kitchen that stays pretty busy during the lunch rush. The building itself is older, and we have to fix things here and there more often than we would like. We don't have a massive staff, just a few of us who do all the cooking and the cleaning up afterwards. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the local market was short on supplies that day, but we always have something hot on the stove for guests. It gets quite warm in the kitchen, especially in the afternoons, but that is just part of the job. People come here because it’s convenient and they know exactly what to expect from us. We don't put on a show or try to be something we aren't. It’s just decent food served on plain plates, and we hope people leave with a full stomach. Most of our regulars are folks we’ve known for years.
