Dumdar Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our main office is at Subash Chand’s house which is number 84/5 in the village of Bhojawas near Kanina. This is in the Mohindergarh district though the mail sometimes says Hissar too. It is a bit out of the way for most people but it is right in the heart of where we do our farming. We call ourselves Dumdar because it sounds strong but really we are just a bunch of neighbors working together. We deal with whatever crops are in season and try to help each other out with equipment and finding places to sell our stuff. The house is always open for the members to come in and chat about what is going on with their land. We don't have a big marketing budget or anyone to write fancy reports for us. Usually we just write things down on whatever paper is handy. It is a very local operation and we prefer it that way because we know everyone involved personally. You won't find any corporate logos or reception desks here just some chairs and maybe a ceiling fan that works half the time. We are just trying to make the farming life a little more manageable by sticking together as a group. It is a tough job but it is ours and we take it one day at a time without any grand plans or complex ideas. Just farmers helping other farmers out in the Bhojawas area every day of the week.
