Bigopur Farmers Producer Company Limited

Over here in Bigopur village, near Narnaul, we’ve got our little office set up at Radhe Shyam’s house, number 69. We are a farmer producer company, which sounds like a big title, but really we are just a bunch of neighbors trying to coordinate our efforts. Mahendragarh is where we all live and work. The soil here has its quirks, and we’ve spent years learning how to get the best out of it. Radhe Shyam’s house has become a bit of a hub for the local farmers. You’ll usually see a few motorbikes parked outside and people sitting around discussing the latest news from the grain market. We don't have a professional secretary or anything; we handle the books ourselves, which means things can get a bit messy sometimes, but we always figure it out. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or polished speeches. We just want to make sure that the people in Bigopur have a fair chance to sell their crops and get the supplies they need without being overcharged. It’s a lot of phone calls, a lot of trips into Narnaul for supplies, and a lot of waiting for the right weather. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t really have a closing time. If someone has a problem at ten at night, they usually just walk over and we talk about it. That is how we have always done things here.
