Pokhar Bhinda Farmer Producer Company Limited is a small outfit we started here in Variyarpurpartawal. We are based at Gobari’s place, which is house number 01. Our area code is 273302. It is not a very big village, so you can find us pretty easily if you ask around for Gobari. We are just a bunch of local farmers who thought it was a good idea to join up. Farming in this part of the country isn't always easy, and being part of a producer company helps us get things done. We don't have a big office with computers and desks. Most of our business is done standing in the fields or sitting on a porch. We share the work and we share the tools when we can. Gobari handles the mail and any people who come by to talk about the company. We don't really use much marketing or anything like that. We just grow our crops and try to find the best way to get them to market. It's a simple life in Variyarpurpartawal. We aren't looking to change the world, just to make sure our farms stay in the family and we can pay our bills. Most of us have been doing this since we were little kids helping our parents. This company is just the next step for us. It’s honest work and we are proud of it, even if it’s not flashy.
