Over in Maharajganj, specifically Narainpur, you’ll find the Nandachyuta Farmer Producer Companylimited. We’re set up at C/O Jyoti Prakash 1, which is where we do most of our organizing. It’s a basic setup, nothing like what you’d see in a big city. We’re just local folks from the 273303 area. Most of us grew up here, so we know the land and we know each other pretty well. The work isn't always pretty. There’s a lot of dirt and sweat involved in what we do. We mostly focus on getting the produce from the fields to where it needs to go. Sometimes the logistics of it all get a bit confusing, especially when the trucks are late or the weather isn't cooperating. We don't have any polished speeches about what we're doing. We just show up every morning and see what needs to be handled first. It might be checking the quality of the seeds or just making sure the storage space is dry. Maharajganj has its own way of doing things, and we just fit into that rhythm. People stop by to chat about the rain or the local news while we work. It’s a slow process building something like this, but we’re taking it one day at a time. We aren't looking for praise, just trying to make a living like everyone else around here.
